Taste of Little Italy Returns in November November 4, 2009

The Little Italy Association (LIA) is proud to host Taste of Little Italy, as part of the fall calendar of festivities in San Diego’s hip and historic neighborhood, Little Italy. Held in the Spring and Fall, the event is always a sell-out, and attracts locals and visitors who indulge in the opportunity to discover a palette of dining possibilities and enjoy samples from a variety of Little Italy restaurants. Appetizers, desserts and specialty beverages will be offered as visitors stroll through the district’s tree-lined streets with fall foliage.

Restaurants who have participated in the past, along with new establishments in the neighborhood, will open their doors with a special area to host an anticipated 600+ attendees. Restaurants are preparing their special menu items and the full roster of participating restaurants will be announced later in the Fall. Taste of Little Italy’s participating restaurants featured in last year’s event include Anthology, Buon Appetito, Caffe Italia, Filippi’s Pizza Grotto, Illume Bistro, Indigo Grill, The Waterfront Grille, Mimmo’s Italian Village, Pappalecco, Petrini’s, and Zagarella Italian Restaurant, among many others. With the purchase of their ticket, visitors to Taste of Little Italywill receive a ‘passport’ that will be stamped by each restaurant in exchange for a taste of their featured menu item.

All ticket purchases will come with something extra special from Anthology – a voucher for 2 people to enjoy “Fresh Vibe Tuesday” during the month of November (where guests enjoy jazz music, discounts on drinks/food specials and more from the ‘hottest chef’ in Little Italy.)
