“Eat. Drink. Shop. Repeat.” Taste of Dallas returns to Fair Park this year with a robust blow-out to commemorate its 25th year. As the largest tasting event in DFW, Taste of Dallas is set to draw 150,000 hungry tasters in its three-day run at Fair Park July 8-10, 2011.
Attendees should prepare their palates for a weekend of culinary delights from Dallas’ top chefs and most popular restaurants. Fantastic music, plenty for the kids to do, and lots to shop, eat and see make for a great weekend.
In the heart of Dallas, Fair Park offers a chance for participants to enjoy the hot chefs and cool facilities, with more than 150,000 square feet of indoor space. Food sampling from dozens of Dallas’ best restaurants will be together with no entrée more than $3. Top chefs from the North Texas area will be an important part of the culinary experience via exciting demonstrations and sampling from their exclusive restaurants.
Nothing goes better with good food than great music. Friday night will feature a throw-back to the ‘80s, with several tribute bands ready to resurrect one of the greatest decades in music. Saturday will showcase some of Texas’ top talent, perhaps best enjoyed from the Gilley’s location next to the main stage, where the beer and boots are plentiful. Sunday will feature Dallas’ best bands and musicians.
Kids Taste Town, including bounce houses, giant slides, interactive games and meet-and-greets with their favorite cartoon characters, and plenty of shopping in the new Taste of Dallas Culinary Marketplace round out a weekend’s worth of delights.
