Taryn Simon: THE INNOCENTS May 1, 2006

The Innocents provides a unique glimpse of the wrongly condemned. The exhibition has been produced in collaboration with the Innocence Project, an organization created by leading defense attorneys Peter Neufeld and Barry Scheck. Using the latest technology available through DNA testing, Innocence Project attorneys have proven in 100 landmark cases to date how often grave miscarriages of justice take place. The compelling photographs in the exhibition reveal the personal tragedy and pain that remains long after the subjects have been freed.
