The Target Free Family Day at the Woodruff Arts Center will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 12p- 5pm. In 2008, this free arts festival event attracted almost 17,000 people to the Woodruff Arts Center campus in Atlanta, ranging from families with children to individual adults. The day is intended to introduce audiences to the visual and performing arts through performances and activities with all the Woodruff Arts Center divisions: the High Museum, The Alliance Theatre, The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Young Audiences. Attendees will have the opportunity to practice arts-related activities and enjoy live performances throughout the day. Child-friendly arts and crafts activities will tie in with the performances and reinforce the of awareness arts education opportunities.
