Tapestry Weaving
Students will learn to set up the tapestry loom, and receive an introduction to several tapestry weaving techniques. Each student will create a simple piece of plain weave fabric, then move on to making simple geometric shapes as they learn the basic tapestry techniques. Students who have taken the class before will work on perfecting technique and mastering tension, warp coverage, and proper interlocking technique. Students will leave the class with a simple plain woven piece of cloth, and a simple tapestry. More importantly, they will have the skills to begin a journey of exploration into the craft of tapestry weaving. Four weeks

Session 2: May 1, 8, 15, 22 Time: Fridays, 10 - 12 noon
