"Tango Your Taxes Off," Opening Reception for the Dance Is The Answer Region-Wide Arts Celebration April 15, 2011

Dance/MetroDC hosts Tango Your Taxes Off, an opening reception for the annual Dance Is The Answer (DITA) region-wide dance and arts celebration, on Friday, April 15, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm in Eastern Market’s North Hall. The evening will feature tango demonstrations and lessons by Sharna Fabiano & Isaac Oboka (for Tango Mercurio), the unveiling of the BOX O’ ART, a traveling visual art and movement installation, and highlights of the upcoming DITA celebration. Refreshments and a cash bar will be available. Admission is free and open to all (donations accepted).

Created in 2007 and held during National Dance Week, DITA runs from April 15 through May 2, 2011 and includes classes, workshops, performances, lectures, open rehearsals, and more in different styles of dance at various venues throughout the metro DC area. All events are specially priced, with some free events, to encourage new participation. The theme for this year’s celebration is Art That Moves.
