The Tampa Bay Derby Darlins are part of the newest incarnation of Roller Derby. The Darlins are still offering up that good old fashioned roller derby excitement of the past, but this unrehearsed, all-female full-contact sport is raising the bar for entertainment value in sports. These ladies of the derby are doing it on their own terms. Totally DIY, this league is owned and operated by the skaters. Members: Women's Flat Track Derby Association

The Darlins' All-star team, the Tampa Tantrums will be taking on Dallas' All-star team. This bout is going to be full of tough athleticism and serious competition. We want to climb in the National rankings of our sport and we need our local community to come out and support us in this quest! It is so much fun to watch. Especially if you get there early enough to snag a "suicide seat". With any luck you will have skaters smashing each other into the crowd. Oh yeah...they have beer too and the after parties are something to write home about. (If you often write home.)

Ever wonder what football would be like if they stopped being overpaid sissies, took all those pads off, and hit each other on roller skates? Of course you have! And so did these ladies!
Not only did they wonder, but then they actually DID something about it! Creating a sport so awesome that it forced John Madden to retire! He couldn't compete!
