Tameside Armed Forces Day June 30, 2012

The event is a big 'thank you' to the Armed Services and those who served, past and present.

We will focus on children and young people with activities including meeting veterans as well as traditional entertainment in the Park.

Some young people will be involved in a speacial project to interview and video or audio record stories and reminiscences and from those not only directly involved with the Services but those who work and have worked in support of the services and industry.

There will be many organisations represented but the day will be a truly community event.

11am Remembrance Service

12 noon, Veterans Breakfast with the Mayor of Tameside (by invitation, please contact Frank Travis on 07970 456329 for details).

1pm - 4pm family entertainment for all ages and music and childrens attractions in the Park.
