Adapting their name from a stringed folk instrument, the Tamburitzans are an energetic ensemble of talented folk artists dediacted to the preservation and performance of the music, songs and dances of Eastern Europe. Appearing in over 400 original and authentically reproduced costumes, the Tamburitzans of Duquesne University present a two-hour kaleidoscope of sight and sound from countries that include Greece, Armenia, Hungary, Croatia and more. This all new-production creates a carousel of style and color from the first note to the final stomp.
