On August 13, the Consulate General of Canada will partner with the New Hampshire Canadian Trade Council and others to present “Talk Trade, Take Action,” a trade forum that will explore the expansion of economic development and commercial links between New Hampshire and the Eastern Canadian provinces.

Merchandise trade between New Hampshire and Canada is worth $8.7 billion annually and over 36,000 jobs in the state depend on trade with Canada. The forum will entail a conversation between community and business leaders on how to strengthen these links and grow local economies. Several panels will focus on education, energy, manufacturing, public/private partnerships and women’s entrepreneurship. Speakers will include Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Consul General Patrick Binns and Cate Street Capital President and CEO John Hallé.

The Forum is being organized by the Consulate General in collaboration with the New Hampshire Canadian Trade Council, the Québec Office in Boston, the New England-Canada Business Council, the New Hampshire Business and Industry Alliance, the New Hampshire High Tech Council, the Franco-American Center of New Hampshire and the Euclide Gilbert French Language Foundation. It will take place in Concord at the Grappone Conference Center in the Concord Marriott from 8:00 a.m. - 6:30p.m.
