This is a drama by Ronald Harwood about Wilhelm Furchtwangler, the German conductor who stayed in his job at the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra throughout the Nazi regime. After the war, Furchtwangler was investigated to determine the extent of his Nazi party activities.
