Take Me Out to the Ballgame Heritage Family Day January 24, 2010

Ever wonder how baseball started in Houston? Visit The Heritage Society on Sunday, January 24, 2010 from 1 to 4 p.m. for our free Take Me Out to the Ballgame Heritage Family Day. Explore our new exhibit Rain or Shine: How Houston Developed Space City Baseball and check out the cool memorabilia from Houston’s professional baseball teams: the Buffs, the Colt.45’s and the Astros. Complete the exhibit scavenger hunt and qualify to participate in a drawing for special door prizes. Hang out with the Houston Astros mascot Junction jack. Create baseball crafts and try your hand at fun baseball activities that test your math skills. Guests may also tour two of our historic structures.
