Winner of the Tony Award for Best Play and runner-up for the Pulitzer Prize in Drama, Take Me Out asks, “What happens when you introduce a gay player to the straight world of the baseball locker room?” While the players on the fictional Empires baseball team experience disillusionment with the game, a whole new world opens for Mason Marzac. Mason is a gay accountant with no previous interaction with baseball who falls head-over-heels in love with the sport. Take Me Out is a thought-provoking, irreverent, witty, and insightful night of theatre.
