Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese system of exercise, health and self-defense that arises from the natural world. Tai Chi strengthens the body, balances the body's energy systems and calms the mind, thereby enhancing the natural self-healing ability of the individual, and has been called "moving meditation". The goal of these classes is that you learn a Tai Chi form that you can take home with you and practice whenever and wherever you like. We teach the official Beijing Yang Style Short Form consisting of 24 moves. We will be practicing exercises from the form, and learning the form at a comfortable rate as determined by the progress of the students. Classes are structured so that you may begin classes on any of the scheduled dates and still receive value.
