You are warmly welcome to attend the Symposium ‘EADS Engineering Europe’ to be held on May 8-9, 2008, at Budapest Tech, in Budapest, Hungary.
The basic target of this symposium is to make the representatives of higher education in the so-called Visegrád-countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) familiar with up-to-date and top-of-the range engineering skills in the particular European business of aeronautics and to open them for supranational, global teaching and research activities in this domain. At once, securing long-term recruitment demands is a vital interest for EADS as the market leader in European aeronautical industry.
EADS and Budapest Tech have been working on a new educational profile beyond traditional aeronautical engineering starting with a Conference-Workshop on „Intercultural Competencies in High Tech Industries – Aeronautics, Space and Defense” in 2006. This common initiative is well in accordance with the policy of the EU-Commission to establish and reinforce standards for the countries of developing Europe. EADS has been thinking of HR-recruitment strategies in the new member states, offering attractive challenges for well-trained engineers in production as well as science and research.
A flexible, multidisciplinary educational profile such as the Budapest Tech model, embedding traditional engineering competencies such as mechanics, electronics and mechatronics topped by additional options featuring relevant issues of the European aeronautics industry turned out to serve our purpose.
