QSO and the Queens Library proudly present Symphony 101 - a FREE, family-friendly, educational, demonstration series being held at public libraries throughout the borough. Symphony 101 will teach attendees about the different instrument families in the traditional symphonic orchestra through live musical demonstrations by a QSO musician and an enlightening presentation by QSO Music Director Constantine Kitsopoulos.
Parts 1 of this educational series, Strings Attached, focuses on the string family including violin, viola, cello and bass.
Strings Attached will take place Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010 at the Forest Hills Library at 1:00 pm and again at the Sunnyside Library at 3:00 pm.
In the spring, Strings Attached will be held Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Lefferts Library at 1:00 pm and again at the Bayside Library at 3:00 pm.
