Career Preview for Social Workers
A social worker needs to possess passion, leadership and ability to face challenges. Above all, these qualities must be balanced with compassion, empathy and willingness to place the interest of community before self. If you want a profession that is truly rewarding and meaningful, the sector has ample career opportunities that await you.
National Council of Social Services (NCSS) and Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) have partnered SIM University (UniSIM) to offer a Place-and-Train Professional Conversion Programme for Social Workers (PCP SW). This programme aims to train mid-career individuals to become qualified Social Workers.
There are two courses offered by UniSIM under PCP SW:
• Graduate Diploma of Social Work; or
• Accelerated Bachelor of Social Work
Being a Place-and-Train Programme, all individuals must gain employment with a Voluntary Welfare Organisation or hospital before applying to UniSIM*.
Come visit us at our Career Preview at UniSIM to find out more details!
