Led by Dez Rubano on percussion, this band brings some of the best musicians in Colorado to create a lively, fun experience. Reminiscent of a big band sound, this group will have you smiling and tapping your toe. This will be the second benefit performed by Rubano for The Arc in recent years. As the father of a woman with multiple disabilities, Rubano originally hosted similar benefits for The Arc in the 1960s.
The concert rings in National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in March, a time of year where The Arc strives to increase visibility and awareness of the talents and contributions of people living with disabilities. Founded in 1961, The Arc – Jefferson, Clear Creek & Gilpin Counties is one of more than 700 chapters of The Arc across the United States. More than 140,000 members strong, we are a part of the largest national organization of and for people with (I/DD) and their families, promoting and protecting their human rights and actively supporting their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes. We foster respect and access, giving people with I/DD the power to achieve their dreams.
