SWING FOR THE STARS to benefit The Red Auerbach Future Stars Sports & Leadership Summer Programs April 30, 2010

The Red Auerbach Future Stars Sports & Leadership Summer Programs, established first in Lowell in1998 and then in Dorchester in 2007, strive to reduce youth violence among children ages 6 to 14 through a curriculum that incorporates extensive sports, leadership training, and gang prevention activities. With funding for approximately 270 slots, youth campers in Dorchester and Lowell participate in daily group discussions, team building exercises and a guest speaker series during the free six-week programs.
