J.R. Brow stands out in the comedy game “like a grain of rice in a bowl of black beans.” The comedian does cartwheels around relationships, religion, politics and pop culture, swerving through 15 years of jokes, impressions, characters and music. He instigates laughter on all fronts, tackling subjects from his Army-brat childhood to teaching English to Russians. A finalist in the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition, JR has performed at HBO’s “U.S. Comedy Arts Festival” in Aspen and on “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.”
