Presentation:
In this interactive dialogue, former Product Manager-turned-VC Ravi Belani will host an off-the-record forum to answer any burning questions for Product Managers intrigued by Venture Capital as a career path or funding source. Belani will describe the psychology you need to understand of VC's to know how to best work with them, and secrets for unearthing funding or a job offer from a fund. The agenda will be shaped by the audience's burning questions -- so please come with those in hand. No questions are off-limits.
About The Speaker:
Ravi Belani began his career in Product Management at two Kleiner Perkins-funded startups. From those roots, he went on to work as a consultant with McKinsey & Company, and a venture capitalist at Draper Fisher Jurvetson, where over the course of six years he sourced, led, and governed investments in game-changing companies like Pubmatic, Justin.TV, and Komli. Ravi now runs the Alchemist Accelerator -- the leading accelerator for Enterprise-focused Seed Startups, and teaches (with Heidi Roizen) Stanford University's survey Entrepreneurship course -- The Spirit of Entrepreneurship. Ravi holds a BS and MS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
