Presentation:
The offline world has always been social. People have always met and interacted face-to-face, shared information with each other, shopped together, and much much more. When we went online 10 years ago, we started reading, searching and shopping by ourselves, and maybe meeting and interacting with new interesting people in chat rooms or on websites. But we weren’t hanging out with our friends online nearly in the same ways. Over time, sites like MySpace, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter popped up to let you connect and share with your friends online. But you were still limited to the experiences provided by those sites...
Since the launch of Facebook Platform in 2007, social application platforms have enabled developers to build rich social experiences on top of the social graph and communications on Facebook and later other websites. Many of these applications have seen very fast growth, reach, and engagement – much faster than building a standalone website – as people share these apps and experiences with each other. With the launch of Facebook Connect in December 2008, you can now build deep social experiences directly into your own websites, desktop apps, or mobile and iPhone apps and tap the same kinds of social distribution and growth.
In this presentation, you can learn how to use Facebook Connect to make your website or application social – and to rapidly increase your user acquisition, reach, and engagement.
