Building a personal brand is important for everyone including entrepreneurs, consultants, and company employees as a means of gaining visibility, establishing credibility, and defining their unique business propositions or contributions. The key is knowing how to craft a compelling story and understanding how to package it both online and offline through strategic messaging via social media and traditional means of communication. During this program, participants will learn how to and get some practice in building their own unique brand as well as tips on how to use social media to communicate their professional positioning.

Angelika Blendstrup, Ph.D., Founder & Principal of Blendstrup & Associates, specializes in personal branding, US business communications training, accent reduction, and presentation skills including pitch coaching. Her personal branding class at Stanford Continuing Studies is always sold-out. Angelika works with international executives to assist them in improving their branding & social media strategies, communication abilities, and how to write and deliver effective presentations. She has lived in Brazil, France, & Germany and speaks French, German, Spanish, and Portugese.
Carla Ivette Yashiro is an entrepreneur, marketing communications specialist, and an Emmy award-winning producer. During her 12-year tenure at Telemundo NBC Universal, she held a variety of positions, gaining significant experience in marketing, branding, promotions, PR & social media. Since then she co-founded "Gather Your Crowd," a marketing consultancy firm, and later led the corporate marketing efforts at GoldSpot Media. She has presented at Berkeley's Haas School of Business & Stanford University.
