The IIDA Sustainable Design Committee, in collaboration with USGBC, is hosting Sustaining Edge, a green product fair on Wednesday February 20, 2008.
Our goal for this event is to spotlight and celebrate innovative products or manufacturing processes that are designed to have a lighter footprint on the earth. We want to bring the idea of a product fair to a new level - going beyond green-washing and addressing a whole lifecycle approach, from the raw materials extracted, to manufacturing process, transportation issues, health, pollution, installation, maintenance and end of life-recyclability issues.
The target audience will be members of the AIA, IIDA, USGBC, ADPSR, CSI, IFMA as well as designers and specifiers from Bay Area firms.
We would like to invite you to participate because of your commitment to sustainability. We are very interested in seeing your latest innovations, as well as a description of your products and manufacturing process.
The event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 405 Howard Street in San Francisco. The panel discussion will be held on the 5th floor in the training room at Stantec, and the exhibition will be held in the buildings main lobby.
Tables & display areas will be set up for selected manufacturers to display appropriate products. Beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be served, and exciting prizes will be raffled off.
