Sustainable Practices Action Network & Calgary Culture-Jammers July 25, 2006

A joint meeting with the Sustainable Practices Action Network (SPAN) and the Calgary Culture-Jammers.

For those that missed the last meeting, we discussed several initiatives that came out of the SPAN Reception (which was back in June) as well as other projects that people are working on. We ended the meeting by voting on the ones we would most like to work on together. The top five were:

1. Young Managers Sustainable Development Training - Sustainability 101 for corporate reps.


2. Human Rights Film Festival - A movie festival entirely dedicated to social justice themes.


3. Viral Sustainability Experiences - A series of simple educational activities that can lead to more sustainable habits.


4. Public/ Alternative Transportation - A look at Calgary's growing problem and what to do about it.


5. Guerrilla Gardening.

A few small groups have already gotten together to evaluate the viability of these activities and they will present their findings at the next meeting.
