Fruit trees are becoming a more popular component of our urban forest as communities discover the role they can play in providing food security. Dr. Walsh, faculty member at the University of Maryland for over 20 years, is known for his expertise and dedication to sustainable fruit production and has worked locally and internationally providing guidance to community gardeners and professional fruit growers alike. Join us as we engage with Dr. Walsh in discussing the potential role of fruit trees in urban and suburban landscapes as well as practices we can incorporate to best manage the challenges they pose.
Dinner will be provided. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be offered for ISA certified arborists.
