Sushi & Beyond
A Celebration of Japanese Cuisine & Culture
Enjoy an afternoon of spectacular culture and cuisine, featuring some of the Bay Area's best Japanese and Asian restaurants.
You will bear witness to the 2007 SushiMasters Regional Competitions where chefs from Ozumo, Sushi Ran, Kirala, and other restaurants will face off to win the opportunity to move on to the SushiMasters Finals in 2008.
Drink fine wine and sake while sampling the handmade rolls of 10 special sushi chefs. In addition to the thousands of pieces of sushi, you’ll have the opportunity to taste the delicacies from some of San Francisco’s finest restaurants: Ana Mandara, Chef Chu’s Restaurant, Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion, Ozumo, Hime, Chaya Brasserie and many more. There will also be an awing demonstration of a 200-pound tuna filleting, as well as live taiko drumming.
If you love Japan, this is your opportunity to gain insight into Japanese cuisine that goes beyond the ubiquitous sushi.
