Watch Survivor Babylon, the children’s musical based on the third chapter in the book of Daniel at Faith Lutheran Church, 10395 University Avenue, Clive, Iowa during the weekend of February 13.
The musical, which will be presented by Faith Lutheran’s children and youth, will be presented at 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. on February 12 and 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on February 13.
Survivor Babylon is written by Dave Noel and Jay Rouse, adapted from the Bible story found in the third chapter of the book of Daniel. The themes of the story focus on faithfulness, integrity and devotion.
Fran Paterik is the director of Survivor Babylon; she is directing children’s musicals at Faith Lutheran for the fifth year. Kate Boonstra will assist with the 4th through 6th graders and Peggy Aanonson will assist with the 1st through 3rd graders.
Faith Lutheran Church is located at the northeast corner of University Avenue and 104th Street in Clive on the west side of the Des Moines area. To get to Faith from Interstate-235, exit the freeway at Valley West Drive and go north to University Avenue. Go west on University Avenue beyond the K-Mart store. Faith Lutheran Church is on the north side of the street. Additional parking is available at the K-Mart store.
Survivor Babylon is sponsored by Soli Deo Musica, the fine arts program at Faith Lutheran Church. Other events sponsored by Soli Deo Musica this year include a performance by the Augsburg concert band in March and the Des Moines Vocal Arts Ensemble in May.
