Spend the morning learning the skills it takes to catch the “perfect wave”! Learn how to read the waves as they roll in, the timing it takes to catch them, practice balancing on the board and turning the board left and right and experience the thrill of riding the waves along the shore! You will also learn about currents, how wind & weather affect waves, surf etiquette, and more. The NJ Shore is one of the safest and easiest places to learn how to surf. Its gradually sloping beaches with gulleys and sandbars make learning how to surf an activity that people of all ability levels will enjoy. Surfing is not only a lot of fun but it will also help you develop balance and increase inner strength. The school uses special soft foam boards when you’re first learning as they are lighter, easier to learn on and less painful when you wipe out.

Then spend the afternoon practicing what you've learned and relaxing on the beach. There will be an option to hire a private instructor who will be side by side with you out in the waves giving you one on one instruction, or you can try surfing on your own.
