Surf on the Silver Screen Summer Kickoff! May 31, 2011

Surf's up once a month at The Pearl! Come on over for burgers, beer specials and surf videos! We've teamed up with Ocean Beach Surf and Skate to showcase flicks and raffle off some killer prizes.

This month’s featured film, “Under the Sun”, is a unique documentary about Australian surf culture. This will be the film’s first debut in the United States! To make the night even more memorable, special guest and film director Cyrus Sutton will be in attendance to introduce the film and answer questions.

-Winner of best Independent Film at the Huntington Beach Surf Film Festival 2008
-Nominated for best Documentary and Cinematography Surfer Poll 2008

And don’t forget to dress in theme for this Luau with your funky Hawaiian shirts! There will be awesome surf and skate prizes and cool raffles! This evening of great company, incredible food, delicious drinks, and a relaxing beach vibe is a night that you don’t want to miss!

The menu for the night includes the Pearl’s famous burger and any draft beer combo for only $15. If beer isn’t up your alley, The Pearl is creating a special Mai Tai cocktail for the event for a steal of only $7! This event starts at 7pm and ends at 11pm, with the screening of “Under the Sun” starting at 8pm.
