Dallas – The Ice House Cultural Center and Arte Oak Cliff presents:
Sur del Trinidad / South of the Trinity, a juried visual art
exhibition. The exhibition was open to all Dallas artists living or
having a studio south of the Trinity River.

The exhibition is on display from July 22 through August 26, 2006.

An opening reception with the artists will be held on Saturday, July 22,
2006 from 6 to 8 PM.

The jurors for this year’s Sur del Trinidad show are: Sarah Jane
Semrad, Executive Director of La Reunion, a non-profit artist residency
program in Oak Cliff; Tina Medina; Professor of Painting, Drawing and
Art Appreciation at Mountain View College; Jose Vargas, Gallery
Coordinator of the Ice House Cultural Center, Art Photographer and
Independent Curator.

The Sur del Trinidad / South of the Trinity visual art exhibition is
composed of photographs, paintings, sculpture, and mixed media works of
art, in a variety of styles by twelve different artists.

Participating artists include: Martin Campos, Brett Dyer, Art Garcia,
Lauren McClure, Linda McLemore, Mary Lou Molinaro, Manuel M. Pecina,
Manuel Sarmiento, James Michael Starr, José Chabolla³, Natalie Taitt,
and Angelita Rodriguez.

Location and Hours

The Ice House Cultural Center is part of the City of Dallas Office of
Cultural Affairs and provides a Latino - focused venue to promote arts
and cultural events that reflect the diversity of Oak Cliff and the
surrounding neighborhoods. Arte Oak Cliff is a community- based
non-profit organization in the Oak Cliff area that works with the Ice
House Cultural Center in presenting a series of arts oriented programs
that include exhibits, performances, lectures, and workshops.

The Ice House Cultural Center. 1004 W. Page Street - Dallas, Texas,
75208, located one block south of 12th Street at the corner of Page and
Polk Streets (MAPSCO page 54-F).

The center is open Tuesday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and
Saturday from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. The center is closed on Sunday and Monday.
