The Global Information Internship Program (GIIP) has just finished an incredible summer. GIIP students put on a week-long "Community Organizing TechCamp", helped connect libraries in Central America, worked with environmental groups in Kenya and women's groups in Nigeria. Now we are ready to begin a new year with exciting and even more productive community partnerships.
GIIP is beginning a new series of courses for the students of UC Santa Cruz that focuses on supporting the missions of progressive community organizations with effective information and communication technologies.
To begin this series of courses the first class session will be a public seminar where you can:
* Learn about GIIP
* Meet motivated students and potential interns
* Network with other local non-profits
* Meet faculty supporters
* Learn about technology assessment and planning
