Axsel Schaufler better known as Superpitcher, this inheritor of the Westbam lineage of post-punk techno has been making seismic shifts into the dance music scene since his 2000 emergence on one of Kompakt's first compilations. At a time when "techno" and "sensuous" seemed incongruous, Michael Mayer's minimalist label found its emotional resuscitation in Superpitcher's glitchy yet layered, impulsive yet textured production work.

Aksel's production work is a firm fixture on the endorsement lists of many industry heavyweights, and the crowd responses to the synergy of shoegazer guitar rock, angular techno, and a pervasive pop undercurrent that lies at the heart of his dj sets. After a mind-blowing 4 hour set in his last SF appearance with Miss Kittin, the Superpitcher returns with unmistakable vibes. Support from Monty Luke (Demon Days, Mothership Records) and others TBA!
