SUPERNIGHT PRESENTS>>>
FONDA 500 and
PLANS AND APOLOGIES
with
Daddy Bones
on the decks.
Nottingham's best homegrown night featuring the most sparkling talent in the midlands' music scene has pulled all the stops out for June's episode of Supernight with Hull's most dazzling export, Fonda 500.
For those unfamiliar to the band (become familiar here - http://www.myspace.com/thebandcalledfonda500 ) they consist of a beatboxing, portable keyboard-playing, bear-hat-wearing lead vocalist, a beguiling female bassist called Bod and a live act which leaves people grinning from ear to ear without fail. They're absolutely fucking brilliant.
The other band, Plans and Apologies, are a 7-strong indie outfit from Derby who have honed an immaculate sound comprising of soaring melodies, swaying beats and ferocious guitars, making them a compelling live act - I've seen them twice now and they're a cut above. Nottingham's most eligible deejay and raconteur Mr Daddy Bones is a bloody hero, having worked alongside George Mahood on the legendary Big Daddy magazine and, later, Grandslam Magazine, he's an institution in himself.
This will be a superb night out, make sure you don't miss it.
