TREEmendous Miami is joining The National Football League and DERM for a very special project and is seeking volunteers.

The National Football League's Environmental Program his developed a series of initiatives to keep the Super Bowl cleaner and greener and to lessen the impact on the local and global environment.

Through the "Carbon Neutral" initiative program, hundreds of seedling trees will be planted in Miami-Dade and other areas to offset the greenhouse gas emissions produced by the February 2007 Super Bowl events. Come help plant pine seedlings to restore pineland preserves!

Bring sun screen, lots of water and a shovel/rake/gloves (if you don't have any of these tools, we can provide them). Recommended attire: closed-toe shoes, light weight long pants, long sleeved shirt, and a shade hat.

For more details and/or questions, call or e-mail Amy, Program Coordinator at 305-378-1863 or treemendousmiami@mail.com.
