Sunrise walk September 26, 2009

Wake up and Walk! The Winston's Wish Sunrise Walks are sponsored events open to both men and women. The events will start before day break, on a route of ten miles with participants walking into the sunrise. A linear walk following stunning coast line throughout, from Littlehampton to Lancing. You might walk to celebrate the memory of someone special, enjoy a unique challenge with friends or set yourself a fitness goal; whatever your reason, you'll be raising vital funds to give bereaved children the support they need to build positive futures. At the end of the walk there will be a special balloon release for participants to remember someone important, make a wish for the future or celebrate the completion of your challenge. Each walker will receive a special Winston's Wish Sunrise Walk T-shirt, goodie bag and a well deserved breakfast at the finish. The Winston's Wish Sunrise Walk is open to anyone, 12 years and over, who feels they can complete the ten-mile walk and raise money for Winston's Wish. However, if pulling on the walking boots isn't for you, then there are other ways you can help us make the walk a stomping success. We need volunteers at both events in West Sussex and Gloucestershire to be marshals along the course, help with registering participants, distribute goodie bags, and serving breakfast at the end of the walk, if you are interested in volunteering then please get in touch on 01242 515157. To secure your place you will need to pay an entry fee of £15 and raise sponsorship for Winston's Wish. There is not a minimum sponsorship requirement for this event but we encourage walkers to raise as much as they can, and aim for our target of £100. The closing date for registrations is 7th September 2009, but places are limited so SIGN UP NOW to avoid disappointment!
