SUNDAY POETRY READINGS FOR KIDS AGE 12 AND UNDER.

FITCHBURG - The Rabbit Hole presents a free Sunday poetry series once a month for kids age 12 and under this summer starting June 14 at 1 pm. "Kids can bring a favorite poem to read out loud, or we can give your child a poem to read. Moms, Dads and family members are welcome to read also. And if you are a child who is writing poetry, come share your work with a receptive audience," explains Rabbit Hole events coordinator Lynn Dembek.

Area writer/artist Sally Cragin will host the summer readings. "Every child is creative and we thought it would be an excellent summer activity to keep kids in touch with good writing during the months when there's no school," she explains. "We'll start with the classics, A.A. Milne, Robert Frost, Emily Dickinson and see what kids enjoy reading." Cragin has taught at Harvard Extension School and Webster University in St. Louis and is a resident artist at Rollstone Studios. Sally Cragin is a board member of New England Poetry Club, the nation's oldest poetry organization. Free and open to the public. Parents/adults need to accompany their child.

Readings will be at 1 pm on June 14, July 12 and August 16 at the Rabbit Hole, 805 Main Street, Fitchburg. Call (978)345-0040 for more information.
