The glacial history of New England is a complex story. Drumlins, eskers, and moraines are all types of formations formed and left by the last glacier. Seeing and understanding their structure, formation, and place on the landscape is fascinating and will make your walks outdoors even more fun. We'll start inside with a program on the different types of glacial landforms, and then head out onto the sanctuary to take a firsthand look at glacial landforms and perform soil samples to examine land use history.
