SUNDAY [adult swim] PARTY August 21, 2005

200 people, an old school burlesque show, and the funniest person in Austin at last week's [adult swim] party - how cool does it get? But it turns out our 'giving away beer' idea is only barely legal, so we had to get a permit from the State and now beer is $1 to cover the cost of the permit. The man's gotta get his too, so we're dropping the cover $1 so you can afford at least one. This week's event is dedicated to the memory of Randy "Biscuit" Turner, Austin's punk rock pioneer. See him on the cover of this week's Chronicle or in a grave near you (he would've laughed at that, so you can too).

We're at 1300 East Fourth Street (4 blocks east of IH35) this Sunday at 8pm. Wear a swimsuit, bring towels, pool toys, chairs, blankets & snacks.
