The one and only, legendary Sun Ra Arkestra live at Band on the Wall.

Cosmic jazz composer, keyboardist, bandleader and philosopher Sun Ra was one of the most important figure in 60's avante garde jazz along with artists such as Ornette Coleman, John Coltrane, and Albert Ayler. His Arkestra, now under the direction of sax legend Marshall Allen since Sun Ra left the planet in 1993, is considered one of most important and pioneering jazz ensembles of all time, and one of the most colourful and influential bands to emerge from the alchemy of 1950s and 60s free thinking music, Band on the Wall is delighted to welcome them, in all their sonic finery, to its Manchester stage.
