Ever wonder what The Beatles might have sounded like had they reunited? For years the Bay Area’s own Sun Kings have been thrilling packed houses and outdoor festivals with their musical tribute to The Beatles around Northern California. Their attention to detail is uncanny and their energy reminiscent of the joy and excitement felt at a real Beatles concert. Every member of The Sun Kings has been a huge Beatles fan since childhood. As they pursued their individual musical endeavors, pre-Sun Kings, they all counted The Beatles as their biggest influence. To be part of this musical tribute feels as natural as walking to them. Don’t expect to see John, Paul, George, or Ringo look-alikes. Do expect to hear your favorite Beatles’ songs performed brilliantly, as you’ve come to know and love them. And of course, expect to have a FAB-ulous time! The Sun Kings repertoire contains over 100 Beatles songs spanning The Beatles entire musical career from “She Loves You” to “I am the Walrus” to Side 2 of Abbey Road.

Other Events at Downtown Redwood City's 2009 Summer Series
Along with Music on the Square, other exciting FREE evening events include: Movies on the Square on Thursdays, Dancing on the Square on Tuesdays, and Jazz on Main St. on Mondays. Other ongoing events in the coming months include six special outdoor exhibits featuring Art on the Square, Monday and Wednesday afternoon performances with Lunchtime on the Square, Sunday Swing Dancing with Lindy on the Square, as well as weekend Shakespeare performances, Sunday Target Family Days, and Cultural Events.
