Calvary Presbyterian Church (www.calvarypresbyterian.org) invites music lovers, regardless of religious background (or lack thereof), to "discover the spiritual side of Jazz" with its uniquely-themed and popular summertime jazz services, every Sunday at 6pm.
World-class trumpeter Dave Scott leads a quartet of other SF jazz greats (Scott Foster, Daniel Fabricant and Surya Patri) in bringing the memorable music of icons Louis Armstrong, Bix Biederbecke, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington and more into these weekly services -- each with a different theme exploring how Jazz has served as a metaphor for life. Starting July 3 at 6pm, right after the conclusion of the Fillmore Jazz Festival.
