...a coffeehouse for your spirit.
Come hear and experience the Solo Piano works of returning JavaMusiK performer Jeff Van Devender at YMCA of the Rockies Hempel Auditorium. Van Devender lives in New Castle, Colorado where he is a public school music educator and performs throughout Colorado and the midwest. As a church organist/pianist for 2 churches, his music ministry has become a staple broadened every week with new horizons that he is now taking to other locations.
"His piano melodies have been described as a blending of classical, jazz and rock influences with a touch of soul. Bending Chords picks up where Ascend left off, adding new elements to the blend. Listen as you are transported to another time and place." Scott Jeffries
Van Devender's music is sometimes best described as "Jim Brickman introduces George Winston to Elton John." His solo performances often take an improvisational journey sending the listener through a timeless wave of inspired spontaneous melody never before heard.
It is these moments of spontaneous inspiration that have delighted audiences for over a decade as they witness his music's continuous evolution. Now working on his third cd release, Van Devender is spicing his performance with new material along with many of the standards he has become famous for playing.
His piano works are now being published through Alpine Road Publishing, a publishing affiliate of JavaMusiK. Music can be ordered online through http://www.lulu.com/javamusik in addition to being made available at showcase concerts.
