During the Summer of 2011, participating teens (ages 15-18) will become citizen journalists by creating short digital stories for The SPEAK CITY HEIGHTS initiative. The SPEAK CITY HEIGHTS project is funded by the California Endowment in partnership with VoiceofSanDiego.org, Media Arts Center San Diego, AjA Project, and KPBS. The goal of the project is to bring City Heights voices & stories into local news via 2-3 minute digital stories. Teens will pick leaders & topics from the City Heights community and create a 2-3 minute digital video highlighting important community issues.
