Summer Salsa Revolution May 31, 2008

Reno! Prepare yourself for a REV-O-LU-TION: a drastic and far-reaching change in ways of thinking and behaving. After a huge success on Cinco De Mayo weekend where 600 plus people came to Café Tabu at the Siena Casino to dance to Salsambo, a salsa orchestra from Sacramento, Reno Truckee Salsa has decided to team up with KM Marketing Reno to bring you the Summer Salsa Revolution. The Summer Salsa Revolution is a revolving salsa party coming to venues in Reno, Truckee, South Lake Tahoe and even San Francisco.

Reno Truckee Salsa and KM Marketing Reno promise quality dance instruction before each party and a great selection of Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha and Timba for dancing. Along with the regular amenities to a great salsa dance party they also promise a little extra. For instance, the kick-off party at The Underground will include a best salsa dressed contest with $100 cash prize to the best-dressed male and $100 to the best-dressed female. In future venues they will be hosting salsa dance contests, live orchestras and even a wine tasting. Another event during the Summer Salsa Revolution will be a salsa party bus to San Francisco on June 21st. This will be an out and back trip to Roccapulco, one of SF's famous salsa clubs. At the end of summer they will celebrate their successful revolt in September with another huge bash that will include a live salsa orchestra.

BB of Reno Truckee Salsa has been dancing Salsa for over 10 years and teaching since 2002. He regularly studies salsa with top salsa dance instructors from around the world. His current salsa teachers are John and Liz of Salsamania in Oakland, CA, ranked fifth in the world and he is endorsed to teach Bachata by Rodney "Rodchata" Aquino, the most respected Bachata instructor in the Bay area. BB of Reno Truckee Salsa also has been asked to teach at salsa conferences such as the Reno Dance Sensation and the Palm Springs Summer Salsa Splash. With over 120 active students currently enrolled in weekly salsa lessons in the Reno/Truckee area, both Reno Truckee Salsa and KM Marketing feel confident that The Summer Salsa Revolution will not only have an immediately strong following but will also be embraced by anyone that has heard about this exotic blend of Afro-Cuban-Caribbean music that is globally recognized as "Salsa."

Dancing 9:30 to 2 am. $5 before 10 pm. $10 after 10 pm.
