Summer Retreat with Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche July 17, 2007

These two weeks will contain two programmes. The programme during the first week is titled "The Path of the Warrior". During this week Rinpoche will teach on Drala, the meaning of Werma, and about Gesar of Ling, one of the main principles that connects the Ripa lineage with the Shambhala lineage. "The Spirit of Tantra" is the topic for the second week.
It will also be possible to join for one week only. The departure day for the first week and arrival day for the second week will be July 22.

Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche was born in India in 1970. He belongs to both Nyingma and Drukpa Kagyü lineages and is the oldest brother of Khandro Tseyang, the wife of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. Jigme Rinpoche has been recognized by his Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche as the incarnation of the Tertön Pema Lingpa. He is the seventh holder of the hereditary Ripa lineage. His father, Vidyadhara Tertön Namkha Drimed Rinpoche, actively guides his spiritual development. His principal teachers were their Holinesses Dudjom Rinpoche, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and the XIIth Gyalwang Drukpa as well as Khetsun Sangpo Rinpoche.

Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche is in charge of the Thupten Mindrolling Monastery situated in Orissa, India. He is also very active on a humanitarian basis among the Tibetan refugee camps. His fluency in English and sense of humour make his teachings lively and direct. Some of them have been put together in a book "Le Goût du Thé" (The Taste of Tea), published by Marpa Books in France.
This summer retreat with Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche will be organised by Padma Ling France, Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche's organisation, in collaboration with Shambhala. Students of both sanghas are warmly invited to participate.
