Summer Orientation Session (SOS) Georgian College August 7, 2008

Summer Orientation Session (SOS) taking place August 8th and 9th is two days filled with fun and information for students coming to Georgian this fall. Beginning at 6pm Friday students can take campus tours and city bus tours to get familiar with Georgian College and the city of Barrie. The night ends with a social hosted by the Alumni Association and a fashion show by GC Bear Essentials and The Bookstore. Saturday begins at 8:30am when students are given the opportunity to do CPT Testing, Residence Hall tours, get their student cards, and visit Campus Connections and The Bookstore. Afterwards student and parents are given the opportunity to participate in a number of different workshops. The workshops will help prepare students to live away from home and how to make the transition easier. Parents can learn about letting go and the career resources available. The SOS days help prepare students to be successful in their endeavors at Georgian College.
