In celebration of Bay Area National Dance Week, Summer of Art kicks the season off at 12noon with What's On Stage? featuring Alonzo King LINES Ballet School and Dance Center. The program includes performances by BFA and Training Program Students, a participatory Bollywood class with Namita Kapoor and a special appearance of LINES' 4-8th grade dance students from De Marillac Academy.

What's On Stage?, curated by Leyya Tawil, artistic director of Dance Elixir and co-director of Temescal Arts Center, is a preview series for upcoming shows at local dance and theatre venues in the direct vicinity of UN Plaza. Each week features previews of dance and/or theater productions from local venues, and a live music or participatory arts experience for the audiences and passersby. This spring's line-up features Alonzo King LINES Ballet School, American Conservatory Theatre's MFA Program/The Costume Shop, Kunst-Stoff Arts, LEVYdance, Cutting Ball Theater, and the Center for New Music.
