Back by popular demand! The Farmington Community Library is pleased to again present our Summer Investment Series. The programs will take place on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m., in the meeting room of the Main Library, Farmington Hills. You may attend one, several, or all of the programs. There will be an opportunity at the end of each session to ask questions.
July 19: Preparing for the Financial Security of Your Child with a Disability
Robin Waldman, a financial advisor with Merrill Lynchs Global Private Client Group, uses her training and experience in the area of special needs to help families strategize adequately to preserve the life-long financial security of a loved one with a disability. Having an autistic child of her own, Robin has an understanding regarding parental concerns about the future for special needs children.
July 26: No-Load Funds or Loaded Funds?
Why do some people buy no-load funds and others buy loaded funds? What are the differences? Mario Lepore II, First Vice President, UBS Financial Services, will address the benefits of loaded and no-load mutual funds.
August 2: No-Load Mutual Funds
Rick Bloom of Bloom Asset Management will discuss the advantages of no-load funds. Many have enjoyed his newspaper articles, in-person presentations and syndicated radio show Sundays noon to 3 p.m. on 1400 WDTK Detroit. Now you can ask your questions in person!
August 9: Planning for Long Term Insurance
Susan Poppert, a licensed long term care agent with Genworth Life Insurance Company, will discuss: What is long term care? When might it be needed? What is your plan should you need long term care? What effect could long term care have on your family and retirement planning? Will one be able to rely on public programs for long term care?
