Sukhavati Ceremony January 14, 2009

We will do a short Sukhavati ceremony for Susan Edwards next Wed night (1/13) at the regular sitting period. It will include a short instruction for tong len practice. Tea and the book discussion will be held as usual, and we have started reading "Mind Beyond Death" by Dzogchen Ponlop, Rinpoche.
Sukhavati is a service which marks the 49th day after death. According to the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, that is the day on which the person leaves the bardo state and may be reborn.
